Where Power Answers to Rules with Mart Harris

Do you have any advice for lawyers who find themselves, I don't want to say outgunned, but, you know, outgunned? out-keepled by a big firm.
M
24:11Mart HarrisGUEST
Well, there's this one instance where it was really helpful to have a couple of law clerks to go through all 1,467 objections that McGuire Woods gave me to a relatively normal set of discovery and make them put all of those objections into a chart one by one so that you could send that 331-page chart as a meet and confer letter and be like, all right, so when can you set aside, I don't know, nine hours to talk one by one about every single one of your objections so that you can tell me what's wrong so that I can fix it for you.
M
24:52Mart HarrisGUEST
And ever since I did that, they have been avoiding, like the plague, trying to one not have to do that mean confer process but also not have me tell the court about what they did and also not give me the documents that i want and there if you show the it's sort of like you know your first day of prison just go beat up the biggest person and so right away I mean, it takes a lot of work, a lot of effort, and it might take two law clerks.
M
25:23Mart HarrisGUEST
But right away, just punch them in the fucking mouth and let them know that it's not going to work.
