And it was it was never a question that that was what I was doing.

And so when we moved, my dad was got a job at Max Factor in Hollywood.

That's how we ended up in California.

And my assumption was that we were moving there.

Which, do you know which red lip it was?

She wears, um, a Max Factor one.

Okay.

Um, but she, um, she is always, she's always been glamorous.

And this one that we went to today was part of the Max Factor building next door, which is a, like, a makeup, early Hollywood makeup-

... maven.

Max Factor, the, like, the original Hollywood makeup artist.

Yeah.

And so there's, like, the museum next door, which is now the Hollywood Museum, used to be the Max Factor Museum, and I think it still has some of the same stuff.

Mm.

Several animals are kind of rapey.

And we wanted to know, you know, when you name the ducks, besides Cosby and something we ask about that famous serial rapist and Amber checking in, Andrew Luster, the Max Factor heir, date raped 86 women.

You became sort of Madison Avenue's favorite commercial person.

There was Max Factor.

There were 100-plus commercials that you did.

I think the one that would probably be really important was Breck.

And it was when they unveiled the Lucille Ball commemorative U.S. postage stamp at the Hollywood Museum in 2001.

And of course, it took place in Max Factor's Redheads Only Room 'cause Lucille Ball was a redhead.

And I just wanted to share with you, you know, to our listeners, you will all remember Hollywood's honorary mayor, Johnny Grant, because he was in charge of the Walk of Fame for many, many decades, and he emceed more than 500 star ceremonies until his passing in 2008.

And I just wanna share that Erika's husband, who's with us today, Vin DiBona, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007 from Hollywood's honorary mayor, Johnny Grant.

My goodness, you know, hearing their personal stories, listening to excerpts from Erika's book, listening to what they did during their childhood, and writing thank you notes and letters.

I mean, these stories were certainly entertaining and educational.
