So American Fidelity has agreed to offer their private family plan to all of Maryland's counties at the state rate of 0.9%.

And that would be with no additional administrative fees, assuming all of that gets approved by the Maryland Insurance Administration, because that's part of this process.

But that is a really meaningful development because it gives counties another option for them to consider as they evaluate how they participate in this program.

And so Counties can consider the rates they've received through the collaborative, American Fidelity, maybe other carriers or insurers that they seek out.

Hospital cars are going up close to 8%.

Prescription drug costs by almost 15% according to a press release from the Maryland Insurance Commission.

What do you think when you see prices like that?

what i see and i think what all of us should should realize is that the way we pay for health care in this country uh is way out of date uh we it's a it's a system that we have decades of empirical evidence now it just does not work when what we tried to do and even like i said the affordable care act kind of locked this in place for years was allowing big insurance companies to get more and more in control of our health care system.
