Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation

We have a steering committee that is like leaders of large North Dakota organizations who've been working for kids their entire professional careers.

We have over 80 local organizations from Great Plains Food Bank to MHA Nation has signed on in support of this.

So this is the people of North Dakota.

We've asked many, many times for school meals at no cost to families.

Okade is Mandan.

I am a part of the three affiliated tribes, Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara from the Fort Berthold Reservation.

So I was born in North Dakota, but I grew up down in the Southwest in Arizona.

And we used to come back to Santa Fe every month because my mother's an artist.
