The growing recognition of the need for unity across national boundaries and independent organization found conscious expression on September 20th, when workers from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Norway participated in an online meeting with Mack Trucks worker and UAW presidential candidate Will Lehman.

The meeting for rank and file power in the international unity of the working class was co-sponsored by the International Workers Alliance of Rank and File Committees and brought together speakers from rank and file committees in North America and Europe to discuss a global strategy against layoffs, trade war, militarism, and dictatorship.

Participants included a striking national steel car worker, a worker at the Volkswagen subsidiary MAN in Norway, a General Motors worker from Silao, Mexico, and auto workers and postal workers in the United States.

International lets you do it, but I don't know about the other ones.

Well, I'm gonna, I wanna come to your studio." I'm like, "Okay, great." So I, at the time I was living in downtown LA in a, uh, this loft that was, um, it used to be a Mack Truck warehouse.

So you would drive up a ramp up to the second floor, and the parking was on the second floor.

So I get a call from him and he's like, he's like, "Yeah, I'm, uh, I'm, I'm, I'm in your neighborhood.

But this was when fat people in town walked to work and they went to work at the factory making cars.

Now, my grandfather, who got me interested in old-time cars, when World War I was over, they moved out, and a new company came in called International Motor Car Company, which later became Mack Truck.

My grandfather worked for them in 1919, the same factory.

He never told me that they made these exotic sports cars, you know, captains of industry cars.
