I knew that I wanted to take what I was learning, um, but I didn't know what that looked like.

And we were contacted by the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.

Clint was a donor, and, uh, he gave the gift of sight, and we immediately found ourselves surrounded by a family, a family of people who had also experienced loss and had this platform of hope.

And getting involved allowed me a place for my love to go.

She didn't just share things, she contributed.

For the Real Life Real Crime Local Fund, Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency fundraiser, at the crew bash, Ruthie donated a spring color landscape installation worth at least $1,000 through her business.

And she told Cindy she would travel anywhere in Louisiana to provide it for the winter, even though her normal business area was around Lafayette.

In another conversation about charitable giving, Ruthie, told that she had personally donated another $1,000 to LOPA, the Louisiana Oregon Procurement Agency, at the previous crew bash.

Yeah, he's off doing life and we appreciate you stepping in.

Jason makes life happen with us here at LOPA every day.

What's your role, Jason?

I'm the donor care unit specialist.

He has just been.

He started volunteering with LOPA up there in that area where he lives.

He has given his life to the Lord.

He speaks at his church and he's just on fire for the Lord.

I would love to hear what it is you guys are doing because it's, it's really something special.

Yeah, so we actually partnered with a fellow heart recipient that lives out here in our community.

Her name is Jamie Napolitano and with LOPA, the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.

We did on Sunday night, it was called Legacy of Life Night.

We'll talk about that later, I'm sure.

But I started volunteering with the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.

You'll hear me say LOPA.

That's the shortened version of it.

As I mentioned, I worked in the pediatric ICU there.

I had taken care of plenty of children that were organ donors there.

I had been the charge nurse and had to make that phone call many times to the LOPA, Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, to call in referrals.

So I knew the nursing side of it.
