Okay.

The Blue Man Benny here says, after mentioning that it didn't work in Linux Mint, he downloaded the app.

He mentioned the only thing he had to do is change the permission to execute and launch it from the terminal.

Yeah, what the heck's up with that on Windows? I mean, on Windows, on Linux.

You can have that Linux desktop and you just access IGEL.

The other good thing with IGEL, and I will point this out, and I have to get clarification on this one because I haven't checked this one, I myself moved over to Linux Mint.

I had enough of Windows 11.

It's just my laptop was blue screening or black screening all the time.

So I thought, no, I'm going to give Linux Mint a go.

And I moved over to Linux Mint.

And I had wonderful issues with the fact that I had to use everything through a browser because, you know, Teams and everything.

But on IGEL, you actually have got it work.

Yeah, I think we're both in the same situation, Drew, where if we have an opinion... we're going to say it out loud.

Um, and, um, I've made plenty of videos that, I mean, I, I mean, I came out and said that Linux Mint is a useless distro on camera.

And, uh, and then I said, NixOS wasn't a real distro and I've stuck by that.

So, um, yeah i don't think that i'm scared of not saying anything but in terms of actual laziness there's been a ton of them like every week yeah yeah especially lately it's just been such a slog um i i have been i i think this thing where we're trying to motive each other has worked uh as well as it possibly could have

Then there's a couple of questions here.

Why might Task Manager OG fail on Linux Mint while working on a Mac? Silent Potato says, it doesn't work on Linux Mint though.

And Paul J. Stevens says, sadly, it just doesn't run on my Linux Mint.

I don't know why.

And he's got the whole device that he's got.

So any operating system or program distributed under open source licenses like the GPL, MIT, Apache, or BSD does not have to collect your age.

This includes, of course, popular Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch, Red Hat, and Linux Mint, as well as the privacy-focused mobile systems like Graphene OS.

I know everyone in the community is excited about that.

And so major commercial operating systems like Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android are not exempt.

Yeah, they built both of these computers to sell to AI people, and they're no longer computers I can recommend to consumers or prosumers.

And in related news, I'm putting Linux Mint on a laptop.

I'm going to see how that works for me as just like a daily driver kind of thing, as opposed to...

Because I have Linux on my gaming box currently, and Bazite has been great for gaming.

Debian is undeniably a very important project within the broader Linux ecosystem.

I mean, it's the basis for Ubuntu, ultimately Linux Mint, and then it becomes Devuan.

I mean, technically, my own Linux distribution is SITS.

sits on top of Devuan, uh, which is a system D free fork of Debian, right? And so my own distribution, um, uh, benefits greatly from, from the Debian project, which, which has a lot of tremendous value in it.

I'm seeing one.

Uh, "Is Linux Mint or Fedora recommended? I have flashed Ubuntu and still wondering."

Um, yeah, we typically recommend Fedora is one.

Um, if you go to our website, under the recommendations tab we do have a full Linux page with a lot of different options.

Um, Linux Mint, uh, is usually one we would recommend less because, um, it, it tends to be behind on, on updates and makes them e- the, like, the further you get abstracted from, like, the upstream ones like Debian and, and Ubuntu, um, the trickier it is to maintain, I think.

But really any Linux distro is gonna be better than using something other than Linux from a privacy perspective, so, uh, the choice doesn't matter, uh, a ton is what I would say

And I'm still running Linux Mint Cinnamon.

Not that it's really going to change until the LTS comes out.

So we'll see.

So, yeah, good to see that.

Yeah, and it's nice because the install for Linux Mint or like Zorin OS or anything like that, which we'll be talking about later, they're, I think, even simpler than installing Windows on a computer.
