So I feel that in that area just from a knowledge base.

But I think I said to you guys that like at one point my father said to me, I got my master's in mental health counseling at Lesley University, which is in the Boston area.

But I got my PhD from my mother because of I am currently estranged from my mom.

We're going to talk about that.

I remember I was teaching a class, uh, I used to be at Lesley College, which became Lesley University, and I was saying s- I can't even remember what it was, but I was saying something like very matter-of-factly that, you know, that we would, quote-unquote, "all agree with." And there was an international student in the class from Botswana.

Mm.

And she raised her hand and was like, "That's not true," [laughs] you know?

She also authored the picture book Charlotte and the Quiet Place, which won a Gold IndieFab and Silver IPPY award, and a clinical workbook, Sober Starting Today.

There's the consciousness that is encoded upon the tone.

I first discovered this back in the 1980s when I was basically getting a master's degree at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I was doing a study of the uses of sound music for healing.

I had a pile of papers.

And I ended up attending a writing seminar, just first time ever.

It happened to be sponsored by Lesley University, which is a school in Cambridge, Mass And they had an MFA program and I met the professors.

And from there I fell in love with kid lit and specifically picture books.

And it is actually sort of interesting that I would go from writing corporate documents.

Uh, I think intention is practically everything.

When back in the early 1980s, uh, I was basically at, uh, Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I had a pile of papers about Yohai.

They were different systems of using sound for healing that I'd gotten from different doctors, scientists, medicine men, shaman, uh, holistic healers, uh, musicians, you name it.

And, uh, we could spend the rest of our time together with just my, you know, ventures into that, but let's continue going into other things.

What happened was shortly after that, I basically, uh, became involved in, uh, creating a master's degree program at Lesley University, uni- uh, researching the uses of sound and music for healing.

I started the Sound Healers Association, took my record company, which had been a new, uh, new wave record company, a kind of punk new wave, and it became a new age record company.

Tell us about that.

That came from my completing my master's dissertation at Lesley University.

And I was sitting in front of a computer that was so old it used a DOS operating system.
