You know, do you ever think there will be a day where there'll be a stamp of approval on all these platforms, too? Like, hey, these are the most credible, the most, you know, easy to work with, the best for our industry.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
28:15
Sort of like LegitScripts.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
28:16
Let's just say it's
Lee PepperHOST
28:17
certified.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
28:19
Well,
Lee PepperHOST
28:20
don't get me going on LegitScripts.
Lee PepperHOST
28:23
You know, Mark, I think it's really difficult to do that.
Lee PepperHOST
28:25
I mean, especially because the technology can move so quickly.
Jonathan SternHOST
20:28
I want to move to something you tweeted a few days ago.
Jonathan SternHOST
20:32
You said, the real question is how Stripe, TikTok, Meta, LegitScript, etc., view the new peptides.
Jonathan SternHOST
20:41
Without mainstream advertising and payment support, peptides will remain niche, even if on paper they are illegal.
Jonathan SternHOST
20:48
Say more about that.
Jeff TangGUEST
23:12
And then other people are just going to see like, OK, like their ad accounts are not cooked.
Jeff TangGUEST
23:17
Let's start running it.
Jonathan SternHOST
23:19
Do you have any idea how long it might take or usually takes for Meta and LegitScript to update the policies? What are you projecting for timelines? Is this happening in 2026?
Jeff TangGUEST
23:30
I have no idea.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
1:37
Yeah, we have had a lot of requests for this show.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
1:40
So today we're joined by Naomi Moono, Director of Strategy and Certification at LegitScript.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
1:47
Naomi, welcome to the show.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
1:48
It's so great to have you here.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
2:04
So thank you.
Mark ScrivnerHOST
2:04
I'm looking forward to it.
Jeff SkillenHOST
2:05
So Naomi, we're talking to somebody who is at LegitScript.
Jeff SkillenHOST
2:09
And so I'm curious.
CamHOST
16:21
And there's a- another layer to this whole conversation that I know we're both excited about, and so let's talk about the traffic cop in this equation.
CamHOST
16:28
So there is, there is a traffic cop in this, uh, whole scenario, and, and that's a company called LegitScript.
CamHOST
16:35
So LegitScript is a compliance and monitoring company, and so if you want to be a telehealth company or someone selling prescription drugs online, um, you don't have to get LegitScript certified, but if you're gonna do anything worth doing, you have to get LegitScript certified.
CamHOST
16:51
And so the reason that is, is all the major traffic providers, Meta, Google, most of the major native networks, are requiring LegitScript verification to allow ads to run from their network to one of these, uh, operations.
CamHOST
17:05
And so the way that works is you set up your website on your domain, you get all your sales pages built and everything, and then you go and you pay LegitScript for a review.
CamHOST
17:14
And so what LegitScript does is they go through your website, they go through all your copy, and they're basically making sure that what you're saying is compliant.
CamHOST
17:22
And they provide essentially a stamp of approval that says, "This is LegitScript certified." You get a number from LegitScript, uh, a verification code.
CamHOST
17:31
You can put badges on your website.
Christina LongGUEST
14:53
Again, they created their own ads.
Christina LongGUEST
14:54
So come to find out, if you want any sort of online presence for any sort of telemedicine company or if you wanna discuss medications, you have to have what's called a LegitScript certification.
Christina LongGUEST
15:04
And of course, it's $3,300 and an annual fee of like $2,000.
Christina LongGUEST
15:10
And so I was like, do I really care about advertising? Like, should I just forget about it? But then I was like, you know what? No.
Christina LongGUEST
15:21
I'm waiting for it to come through still.
Christina LongGUEST
15:23
It was a lot of work, especially if you have lots of licenses.
Christina LongGUEST
15:26
So if you wanna get your LegitScript, do it while you have like one state license 'cause it's like a-

Oh
KellyGUEST
41:43
... or sh-
Justin AllenHOST
41:44
LegitScript?
KellyGUEST
41:45
Yeah, LegitScript.
Justin AllenHOST
41:47
I wouldn't worry about it.
KellyGUEST
41:49
Okay.
Justin AllenHOST
41:58
I think that your better bet is just to be as patient as possible and just let this thing do its thing for a little while, you know?
KellyGUEST
42:05
Okay.
Justin AllenHOST
42:06
I mean, if you had hundreds of thousands of dollars to just say, "I'm just gonna invest $100,000 into this business and just go full-blown on it," then yeah, sure, get LegitScript certified, have the infrastructure ready, and do it.
