What is something that is in your closet that is from the '90s that you still put on today or you still look at and you're like, "I still stand by that fashion decision"?

I have some, some Lanvin boots, uh, and I have some Dries, really early work.

Um, I keep a lot of it in archive.

Um, but the one thing I notice about the '90s and it kind of reinvigorating now is that back in the '90s, we weren't, like, cute and wearing cute ill-fitting clothes to be cute.

And in that time, I was shopping and looking at all these, like, beautiful tops to wear with my jeans, and I really loved this one black silk top.

It was made by Lanvin, and it was over $1,000.

Yeah.

And I remember thinking to myself, "Why is this $1,000?" Like-

Anyway, then.

But he's, um, he's actually the first guy, first player to show me a little bit of fashion, and he showed me about the Lanvins.

Remember Lanvin?

No.

And I'm sort of curious about that less to wear it myself and more that I think it's kind of a fascinating phenomenon.

We are seeing some really interesting spikes, which this is something I'm not into, but I actually really feel interested in, which is we're seeing real spikes in the sort of like beginning 2010s, like Albert Alba's, some of the like jewelry of Albert Alba's, the sort of Lanvin parts, the Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, like that era of stuff, which for me, I was like already like a real grown up.

I was working at Isaac in that time.

I had a lot of those dresses.

And he took me out with my ex-husband and his husband and we all went out for dinner and I was going to wear this crazy like leopard printed vintage dress.

and the day of i was like i can't wear that i have to wear something more like elegant and put together it's like this place on the upper east side and i like walked into barney's and bought this albert elbaz black.

I don't even wear black, hardly ever black, like Lanvin sheath dress.

And so for me, that stuff still feels like really recent memory, but it's so fun to see and interesting to see people like embracing it and loving it in a vintage way.

Dali embraces mass culture and advertising.
