Adam AuslundHOST
32:03
You know what I said after they lost in Stillwater? I don't know.
Adam AuslundHOST
32:09
Was Will Stein the brains of the operation? I'm looking at Kentucky now.
Adam AuslundHOST
32:14
Look at what they're doing over there.
Adam AuslundHOST
32:16
I'd be concerned about that.

34 MINS LATER

Kevin FiggersHOST
66:03
Yeah, I think one of the unintended consequences of the NIL and the transfer portal has been the swift turnaround that so many of these programs have been able to take over the last couple of years.
Kevin FiggersHOST
66:12
I'm looking at the top 20 right now.
Kevin FiggersHOST
66:13
I've got Indiana at fourth, UCLA seventh, Kentucky of all people has the best record in the SEC.
Kevin FiggersHOST
66:18
at number nine and we mentioned jake dicker and wake forest they're coming in at number 14 with the six and one record just your take on the overall college football landscape and for as many people that were complaining about the fact that players were able to pay get paid and transfer left and right that maybe it was a net good for the sport because that actually created some of the parody that some people were looking for
TJ PittingerGUEST
7:24
Even Florida, who's up and down.
TJ PittingerGUEST
7:25
Florida drops, I think they're a lot better than FSU, but say Florida drops this weekend to Georgia, then loses to Oklahoma, then loses on the road to Kentucky.
TJ PittingerGUEST
7:32
Even that win, I mean, you always want to beat your rival.
TJ PittingerGUEST
7:36
Yeah, nothing is going to happen this year that makes you feel better about the future.
Pat BoyleHOST
18:19
What is Alabama's big win? I
Zac KrullGUEST
18:20
mean, they won at Kentucky, which is a great win.
Zac KrullGUEST
18:24
Yeah, they did win at Kentucky by 28,
Pat BoyleHOST
18:26
and Kentucky looks like a damn good team now.
Pat BoyleHOST
18:27
They're actually at the top of the conference standings, and they crushed Mississippi State on the road by 33.
Pat BoyleHOST
18:34
That is a decent point, though.
Bryan DriskellHOST
39:57
I mean, they're not paying that money for Vanderbilt.
Bryan DriskellHOST
40:00
Kentucky, Tennessee's one.
Bryan DriskellHOST
40:02
They're paying that amount of money because they want to get those seven or eight schools that actually make money.
Bryan DriskellHOST
40:07
But part of the deal is we also have to bring in Kentucky, and we have to bring along Missouri, and we have to bring along Mississippi State as part of it.
Bryan DriskellHOST
40:17
Because I would think you'd also have way less production costs if you only had to cover five, six teams.
Bryan DriskellHOST
40:24
Well, how are they going to schedule other sports? That's not a problem.
Steven WillisHOST
5:32
like that.
Steven WillisHOST
5:33
And Kentucky has Tennessee the day that Ole Miss plays Georgia.
Michael KatzGUEST
5:37
Yeah, so there are so many things that could happen.
Michael KatzGUEST
5:43
You know, I – like you said, I don't know if there's anything that leads to believe that Ole Miss like, yeah, they could, but I haven't seen that consistency that I'm, that I believe it quite yet.
Dominic MatassaGUEST
1:32
Some teams we've never seen this high in the rankings.
Dominic MatassaGUEST
1:35
When you look at a Utah, a UCLA, a BYU, a Kentucky, these teams are top 10 teams now.
Dominic MatassaGUEST
1:41
So my issue with the college football playoffs, it's not that we don't have 24 competitive teams that could win a college football playoff game.
Dominic MatassaGUEST
1:49
I think you have that right now.
Mitch LightGUEST
4:27
I know Mario Taylor was banged up, but winning that game 31-0.
Mitch LightGUEST
4:31
The game that's going to come back to haunt Lane Kiffin is the Kentucky game.
Mitch LightGUEST
4:37
They're losing overtime 35-34.
Mitch LightGUEST
4:40
They had a play at fourth and one where he could have gone for it.
Mitch LightGUEST
7:21
There's not going to be a team out there that might be on the playoff bubble that has three wins as good as those.
Mitch LightGUEST
7:28
Then I would go LSU, like I said before, and I didn't put a ton of thought into this, but I dotted it down before.
Mitch LightGUEST
7:34
I'd probably go Alabama, four, Ole Miss, five, Kentucky, six, tennessee seven florida eight but you know and i have to dive into it's hard to do that because tennessee just dominated alabama uh but then they go lose in south carolina but as far as playoff right now you know georgia kentucky texas and old miss would be the the four teams that probably feel good right now i mean obviously the season uh and this is kind of the point of the season where it's safe to look at schedules when when you know when when teams are three and one or four and one and you got to look at the schedule at that point you still really don't know how good anyone is but at this point we kind of have a better feel for it so i would say those are the teams right now and i kind of looked at all these schedules the only one i did not look up was kentucky uh you know they get at tennessee in two weeks florida at missouri louisville those are kind of four stringest games that you can see them winning them all or losing them all
Derek MasonHOST
8:29
Mitch, the game I'm most intrigued with this weekend is Ohio State at USC.
Hayes CarlineHOST
74:21
Now, Georgia's the only one in the top eight, but then you get to 9 to 17, to your point, seven teams in that clump in the ranking.
Rick BallouHOST
74:29
If Georgia got beat, then you can really begin to make the claim that Kentucky is the best team right now in the SEC.
Rick BallouHOST
74:39
Kentucky!
Ryan O'HalloranGUEST
74:40
Future Texas coach Will Stein.
Rick BallouHOST
74:43
Makes a lot of sense.
Rick BallouHOST
74:44
Makes that
Ryan O'HalloranGUEST
74:45
Florida-Kentucky game even more interesting coming up.
Ryan O'HalloranGUEST
74:48
But

against
Brian BosworthGUEST
5:45
Kentucky.
Brian BosworthGUEST
5:46
You know, this team's actually kind of coming along and we're coming along at the right time, which is that middle part of the season as we go into the latter part of the season.
Tyler McComasHOST
5:56
Butka Splits with Brian Bosworth brought to you by OEC Fiber and the Thunderbird Casino.
Brian BosworthGUEST
9:36
And if you go back to Michigan, there's a couple of plays against Michigan.
Brian BosworthGUEST
9:38
If they've gone the other direction, you know, we win that game.
Brian BosworthGUEST
9:43
And the same with Kentucky.
Brian BosworthGUEST
9:44
A couple of other plays go the other direction, we win the game.
Brian BosworthGUEST
8:42
So if we got the left side handled and the right side handled, and we get a little bit of momentum in our running game, and we start spurting out, you know, some seven to 12 to 15 yard runs, spurts, maybe break one down, I think we can manage to find ourselves in a position to surprise a lot of people coming in from South Carolina and go, wait a minute, this isn't the Oklahoma team that I saw against Georgia,
speaker_0NARRATOR
