So I worked in, in a, in a consulting company called Kearney and, and ma- did a lot of pricing projects, um, in retail, but also in the industry, mm, and that, for six years, actually.

And then after that, I worked two years for Zalando.

It's a big, uh, fashion marketplace in, in Europe, the biggest one, actually.

Guy Primus began at Georgia Tech, then on to Harvard Business School.

He's consulted at Kearney and then went on to work with some of the biggest names in entertainment.

He helped shape digital media strategy at Microsoft, Starbucks, and later became the CEO of the Virtual Reality Company, where he created award-winning immersive experiences like the Martian VR, and Jurassic World VR Expedition.

He's also a patent holder, a startup advisor, and a current managing partner of Thriller Dome, where he helps startups turn storytelling and technology into movements.

I'm originally from the northeast of Scotland, spent the early part of my career in investment banking and strategy consulting with JP Morgan and then Kearney.

I left Kearney 16 years ago to go to business school here in London, went to London Business School to do an MBA.

Not particularly with any firm idea what I wanted to do, but to move more towards SMEs.

I actually met one of the other co-founders of Orca, Pascal.

Äh, ich war erst, äh, bei einer kleineren Boutique, ähm, hab dort letztendlich das Handwerkszeug sowohl beraterisch wie auch, sage ich mal, für meine funktionale Ausprägung gelernt, ähm, und hab dort, äh, fünf Jahre bis zum Projektleiter gearbeitet, ähm, auch, auch kleinere, größere Teams, äh, gesteuert und, ähm, war für mich eigentlich ein ganz natürlicher Move, als dann AT Kearney anrief, ähm, ob ich, äh, Interesse hätte zu wechseln, zu AT Kearney zu gehen, denn auch mein, mein damaliger Chef und, und auch, äh, sogar ja, zwei oder drei Chefs, damals Partner, äh, waren auch Ex-Kearneys.

Wir waren gefühlt so ein Spin Off aus der Kearney-Welt, sodass es eigentlich sehr niederschwellig war.

Und die Zeit bei Kearney hat mir natürlich eigentlich, ja, drei Sachen eröffnet.

Also zum einen halt die globale Landkarte.

Also, ähm, das war für mich schon extremst beeindruckend, ähm, nicht nur, äh, äh, zu sprechen über die Globalität, sondern die Globalität auch wirklich zu leben und, äh, mit Kunden in Asien zusammenzuarbeiten, in Amerika zusammenzuarbeiten.

Ähm, die Operations Practice bei BCG war noch ein vergleichsweise kleines Pflänzchen.

Ähm, ich glaub, das war rund 'ne Milliarde Umsatz.
