Jeanneau

Um, and the efficiency, and this is, this is something else, right? The efficiency, uh, between 20 and 22 knots at a cruise, six liters per nautical mile, uh, for a 400 mile plus range.

Now, I had just, before testing this, tested Jeanneau's new TH38, their twin hull thing with a pair of 350 outboards.

Um, and-

Half the size.

And usually they're dead within, I don't know, 12 hours or so, roughly.

One time, I was delivering this boat, what the hell was it? It was a Jeanneau.

It was a Jeanneau 40 something or other, and this guy got it out of, um, charter.

It was, like, all the worst things you could do.

Buy a boat that came out of charter, a freaking Jeanneau.

Now, I was actually pleasantly surprised by that boat.

That boat did, did qui- it was in pretty damn good shape and did quite well, so, you know, I guess you, it's not always a bad thing.

You have like a 70s motor sailor and you think of like big cabin pilot house, two masts, like, okay, motor sailor.

But technically in terms of like being able to drive the boat effectively, maybe even saying being able to drive it at hull speed, motor sailor applies to like basically every Beneteau, every Jeanneau, every everything else.

They can do, whether they are motoring or sailing, they can go at hull speed.

Sailing can potentially maybe take you above hull speed.

Are, are you gonna be trading her in for a, one of those, like your mate Mark's got? What is that again? Has he got a Beneteau or something? Like Mediterranean cruiser time for you, is it? [laughs]

[laughs] We'll not be getting a, we'll not be getting a Beneteau or a Jeanneau, mate, I can tell you that.

but to be fair, I think, uh, I think that, uh, the Jeanneau has served Mark very well, as he's m- mentioned on the podcast several times.

Every boat is a compromise, and there are a lot of plus points to that boat and I think, um, it's, uh, it's done well for the, for-
