International Swimming League

Welcome back to another episode of the SwimScribe podcast.

Up first, we have a big headline topic today with the long inactive International Swimming League announcing a new competition happening at the end of this year, which is despite them owing many athletes money from their last season back in 2021.

We also have a few big swims coming out of Japan.

At first it was just Shinohashi, but this episode is a little late, so now Tomoyuki Matsushita is in here too with his more recent swim.

Since it's been so long, since there's been so many different developments that have happened both in the public eye about a long time ago or more background stuff, I think it's important to first kind of go through the timeline of events of everything that's happened with the International Swim League.

And if you're a newer swimming fan, you know, and in this timeline, newer could be within the last three years.

you may not have been around during the International Swimming League.

So what is it? It's an attempt at making swimming into more of a pro league.
