And then after that, we'll talk some local news and notes.

There's plenty to talk about between the IMCA super nationals, uh, giving the finger to the sport compacts and then, uh, retracting that finger and giving them an option to all come back to Boone and race, um, the rain, uh, and oh, the rain as well as streaming it.

And while you're streaming it, you can watch it rain.

So we'll cover a lot of local news and then we'll try to get you set for the weekend of racing to come.

IMCA Super Nationals is going on and you can tell because it is raining like a son of a gun in central Iowa.

I don't know.

Sport mods or? No, regular A-mods.

IMCA mods.

So Wisconsin is so different than the rest of the nation, as you know.

It really is about the setup.

If you can bite on the track, it does not take a lot of horse to go fast.

It was tough for me going south because you get used to the IMCA and different sanctions and things like that.

And then I moved south and everything is called a different name.

On to the big track.

We did RJ Noble Company IMCA Sport Compacts.

Chance Wade, I think he got his third main event win.

Marcy McGowan was second.

They're going to go for it.

How cool is

that? IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Edward Finger got a main event win.

It was their championship weekend, so both nights counted towards points.

Colby Patterson, the rookie – And IMCA rookie, IMCA hobby stock rookie picked up the win.

Kyler Satrin, Diesel Raynard, Sage Borut, Levi Paul.

IMCA Modifieds, the big show.

Jason Walla picked up the win.

Batesville, Arkansas ran sixth and went to Peveley and ran fifth.

Uh, we ran the IMCA car at Batesville getting ready for an upcoming race.

They had the first weekend of October and we went to Peveley because we wanted to and not very happy with that car still, but we'll get it.

But, uh, wound up fifth, but didn't get to race as much as you did.

The corn field clash it's driver appreciation night coming up this Thursday, September 3rd featuring doesn't say what classes I would assume it's going to be their regular weekly classes.

Cause this is going to count towards national and state IMCA points.

Pitt gates open up at five grandstands open up at five 30 hot laps at seven 15, 15 bucks for adults, kids 11 and under get in for free.

I would say my only question then is, are they running the crown VIX? I don't know if they're, are they earning IMCA points yet? Or is IMCA not sanctioned yet?

IMCA has not picked up crown VIX as a sanctioning.

So

I know they run them, I think weekly, maybe just a handful of times during the year.

Maybe that's somebody else.

yeah mike usually every other year comes to the to attend the super nationals and we love having them but you know you know guys like mike schulte um you know yeah he was a racer but even my mom said you know we you know we we talked a lot about the past with with my mother back here for the week and and you know attending the services and you know, it's just, it's fun.

It's, it's, it's fun for me and very interesting for me to listen to my mom tell stories about, you know, all the people that were so instrumental in, in, uh, how IMCA got to where it is today.

So there's tons of history and, and, and obviously Keith is at the top of that list, Catherine by side, but, uh, you know, there's a, there's just so many people through the years that have, have, uh, help make IMCA modified racing what it is, and, you know, all the other divisions we've got now and the size of the association.

It's crazy.

I don't think you could, I don't think that situations like this you can create.

You and Jinji gave me a hard time about understanding things and what they are and how they become.

This is the same thing.

You know, there's a story behind the IMCA modified that we often forget that there was a, it had to be birthed.
