But anyway, then I became an internist and I practiced primary care for a while.

actually almost 10 years but always obviously based on my background as an exercise physiologist had this interest in weight loss so when Indiana University Health wanted to open a weight loss program they came to me and I was glad to do it and people always say how did you come upon low carb for your practice and I said because when they asked me to do this I wanted to do a good job and I went to the science and That's what was working, right? That's what we had evidence really helped.

So my practice from day one has been only low-carb based.

That's what I do.

The new NSF Engines MSK Impact Program, their headquarters will be housed out of IU Lab.

Analix IN, which is a genomic sequencing partnership with the R1 universities, IU Health, Lilly will be in the IU lab.

And so the physical space is being constructed and be great when it's open to bring all those parties together.

Like I said, we're also a platform where we've already launched a lot of what we want to do in this space.

So we've launched an incubator that's sponsored by IU Health.

where we have a pre-accelerator and accelerator and worked with over 35 early stage human health companies just last year to get them within our ecosystem working with IU, but also our partners.

We've launched our all services agreements with Lilly and Cook and Zimmer Biomet.

But again, centralizing a lot of those approaches to industry partnerships, bringing the best of the best that we can to support industry.

They will remember whether we looked up.

And they're building a new Parkview Hospital and then another IU Health Hospital.

And then not to mention Eli Lilly down south on 65 and some of the other stuff in the region.

But a lot of those jobs are 2028 jobs.

And that is moral distress.

Joining me for this episode are Dr. Anne Allison, who is a system evidence-based practice specialist at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, and Dr. Todd Tussing, who is an associate clinical professor at the Ohio State University College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio.

Now, Ann and Todd were two of the co-authors of a recent nursing management article, which was called Addressing Moral Distress in Nurse Managers Through Facilitated Ethical Discussions.

It was a great article with lots of implications.

Now it feels like a shout out to our co-author, Dr. Archana Kanetkar, who it was her original idea really was to investigate this topic.

And Aubrey, while she now lives in Chicago and you two work together at the time, she was still living in Indianapolis and we were all working together at Indiana University Health.

And we had just recognized that this practice was happening.

We had this algorithm we were following for when it might be appropriate to mobilize somebody who had a DVT, but we knew that we weren't following it 100% of the time, that there were some instances where patients were not fully anticoagulated, but they were still active.
