And we actually were driving into work.

I was at Hydro One, his work, obviously, in politics late because we had been out the night before doing events.

And so we were driving into work late and listening to Bill Carroll on Newstalk 1010. when we heard about the second tower and looked at each other in the same way as you described it.

The first one seems like a horrific accident.

And to add insult to injury, some Canadian companies that relied on US tech apps through third-party agreements also had the words Lake America displayed for users in Canada.

That was the case for Hydro One, for example, Ontario's largest electricity transmission and distribution service provider, even the LCBO.

Now, the companies have since apologized and corrected their sites, but it's hard to keep your elbows up when the companies we use and rely on here in Canada use and rely on tech companies in the US that are ultimately governed by the White House.

And to think this all started with what was displayed on a map, a, a tool that helps us get from point A to point B.

Hydro One or s- some other government websites were, you know, were actually caught through third-party agreements using tech that displayed it as Lake America.

And from Canada, you remember Canada used to be an independent country.

Hydro One has apologized after its online outage map incorrectly displayed Lake Ontario's Lake America map.

It said the error was caused by a third-party mapping service.

Hydro One is the largest electricity transmission and distribution provider in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The incident, of course, came shortly after Google Maps began displaying Lake America for users in the United States, following something the felon-in-chief did.

So it's not for the federal government to tell a provincial regulator how to regulate power.

And CARM knows that from Hydro One.

But it is our responsibility to make sure that we're working on behalf of citizens and communities to develop a base framework that all communities have to demand these key principles of investment sustainability water use rate payer protection provinces are also developing regulations that they can have more legislative teeth on that because it's their responsibility but first and foremost we need to give the tools and the framework to municipalities second of all know when we consulted with provinces indigenous leaders territories obviously the federation of community municipalities but we also have brought 23 industry leaders and companies on board they have now publicly made this promise and that means that citizens when they come to their local counselors and their mayors and they say there's a project here we've heard a lot about data centers Even though they've been around for many decades, there's a new interest in them because of AI.

They can say, okay, well, what about these principles? How will it treat the water? How will it treat the power? What will the proponent do? And there can be demands that then the municipality and the province can hold them accountable for.

Talking a lot about yesterday's storm, some of the power outages that we are seeing around town.

What are we dealing with here in Windsor-Essex as far as Hydro One is concerned and power outages?

It's some really severe damage from the storm that came through on Wednesday.

And the situation wasn't helped with the additional damage.
