what we do on the values interest podcast, I always like to start for our listeners is to get a sense of who we're talking to beyond the professional.

And so maybe introduce yourself to our listeners a little bit and talk a little bit about kind of you as the person and the value system that, that you've kind of cultivated over the year and how that might bridge to your current work, uh, at human rights foundation and as, and as an author.

Well, sure.

I'd be happy to.

So my name is Casey Michelle.

I'm an American author and journalist.

My day job is at the head of the Combating Kleptocracy Program at the Human Rights Foundation.

I'm also a fellow on corruption at the Center for International Policy.

I think that's one way to grow adoption.

That's something that I try and focus on, you know, in my writing, my work, like whether it's kind of B2B case studies or whether it's, you know, storytelling, the kind of thing that Gladstein and Human Rights Foundation does with with just letting people tell their own stories of how you know they benefited from being in control of their own money that's for me like we should be doing more of that and less of the generic

pumping up memes and they're fun they're fun memes are good i'm not gonna say don't do memes but Yeah, I think we need more stories with people involved in them.

Like, let's give them room to like see what happens next.

And I'm hoping because- In terms of grant, uh, organizations like the Human Rights Foundation and OpenSats are really the only two organizations that we qualify for funding from, unless there's one or more that I don't know about.

There are-- there's like Brink and some other funding orgs, but they generally only focus on, uh, funding people that work on Bitcoin Core.

So OpenSats and HRF are kind of the only game in town for Seed Signer.

In Nigeria, which has had some of the highest transaction volumes in the world, saving in Bitcoin has been used by some to get around the collapse of the local fiat currency, the nation's fiat currency, the Nira or Naira, however you want to pronounce it, Cornell University's research.
