And so we just kinda started doing things for the community and, and lifting up.

And then I said, "This is the time to start a headquarters there in the Casita." And we were fortunate to get a $200,000 grant from Houston Endowment, and that is what helped us really renovate the house because it was actually about to collapse because the renters that I had in there for that year, they didn't let me know there was a water leak.

Oh.

So the house was collapsing in the middle.

You know, something that I love about this event is they for each award that we're giving out, they produce the most incredible video for each person.

that is just so high def and so inspiring with like the music and the whole thing i love that and um this npd is going to be a little extra special for me because i was actually involved with nominating our outstanding philanthropic foundation winner the houston endowment so i was really thrilled about that

and i'm excited because this is the second time they've been honored

yeah or 30 years yeah they were one of

the early ones it was in the early 90s that they were last ordered uh honored and i was looking at the uh rules and it was like as long as it was not within the last 10 years and i was like well it was 30 years ago so and you know the houston endowment has been incredibly innovative in recent years and i thought it was time to talk about that so i pulled together a little coalition of their other grantees we put together a package and i worked really hard on it so i I was just so excited to see that happen.
