While expertise lies in the Men's Hockey East Conference, specifically Boston University, we dabble everywhere and just love college hockey, and we also just love talking, whether it's about college hockey or not.

Yeah, in a weird way, you know, I think about what happened the second half of last year, and I know it's a totally different group, and so it should be a clean slate.
Nathan StraussHOST
7:42
But I believe UMass lost four games in the final, in the second half of last year, all the way through the NCAA tournament, or rather, all the way through the Hockey East semifinal.
Nathan StraussHOST
7:51
In those four losses, I believe Michael Probble allowed five total goals in those four losses, which means there was a 1-0 shutout to BU, obviously the 2-0 with an empty net for Merrimack.
Nathan StraussHOST
8:05
I think the consistency is what needs to come next because UMass is averaging 2.6 goals a game right now, but it's been 4.5 goals in those wins and then 0.75 in those losses.

They weren't going to go 33-1.
Mike McMahonHOST
32:00
The idea should just be get points in every game you play, and you're going to find that you're going to be in a pretty good spot, I think, at the end of the year, both NPI-wise and Hockey East-wise.
Mike McMahonHOST
32:11
That's the other thing.
Mike McMahonHOST
32:12
They're like the fourth-ranked team in the NPI in Hockey East right now.
Mike McMahonHOST
32:14
Vermont's ahead of them.
Mike McMahonHOST
32:16
I'm sorry.
Mike McMahonHOST
32:17
That's not going to last.
Mike McMahonHOST

Michael FelgerHOST

Michael FelgerHOST
30:31
It's the last thing I would have expected from a 19-year-old kid out of Hockey East.
Michael FelgerHOST
30:36
Never mind a 19-year-old kid out of Boston College.
Michael FelgerHOST
30:41
where, as our former boss said back when you could be chauvinist, so don't pick at me, but this was a former editor at the Herald back in the days when you could say things like this, would say the Boston College hockey player, Craig Janney, name it, skates like Dorothy Hamill, hits like him too.
Mike McMahonHOST
25:37
Vermont's ahead of them in the NPI right now, and Maine's ahead of them in the NPI right now, and I don't think that both those teams will finish ahead of them in the NPI.
Mike McMahonHOST
25:43
So if they're the third best Hockey East team in the NPI at the end of the year, which I think they could be, maybe UMass, you know, if UMass gets cooking, and I think they could, they might be that third team.
Mike McMahonHOST
25:54
They'll be in that mix, I think.
Mike McMahonHOST
25:56
I think they will be the third or fourth best team in the NPI in Hockey East this year.
Mike McMahonHOST
