But in the days after that statement, uh, people across the political spectrum criticized him for wanting his wife to, quote, change her beliefs to match his own.

The Associated Press put out this article, and they interviewed the Hindu American Foundation, who objected to his, quote, religious superiority, and they called what he was doing spiritual colonialism.

The New York Times called it a backlash because of this, and he said, or they said that people criticized him for undermining his wife's religious autonomy, and even some conservative pundits told him to just sort of get with the times and not really share the details of these competing faiths or whatever.

And the thing is, no matter what you make of J.D. Vance or think about J.D. Vance, this cultural reaction reveals a deep-seated, unspoken assumption that exists in modern society.

I mean, they would be interested in stuff like this, actually.

And you can't argue with that.

But this pledge signals a highly organized systemic push to forcefully scrutinize foreign-linked ideological influence within the American electoral machine.

Tracing missing funds in America is complex, but it pales in comparison to the sheer scale of tracking missing voters in India.

And then the Hindu American Foundation issued an advisory urging the mayor to protect the civil rights of the attendees.

Oh, wow, so he's getting squeezed from both sides.
