[outro music] Heidelberg Engineering announced the launch of the Heidelberg Opera, a fully digital ophthalmic surgical microscope platform that provides visualization on large format displays with high levels of color, contrast, and resolution, as well as image enhancement capabilities.

To learn more about the Opera, we spoke with Geoff Seavey, president of Heidelberg Engineering USA.

USA.We are very excited today to announce the launch in the US of the Heidelberg Opera surgical microscope.

So Heidelberg Engineering, uh, has built a reputation over the last 40-plus years around high-quality imaging, and this represents our first step in bringing that level of visualization into the operating room.

Uh, we're seeing a trend in surgery towards digitalization, and this is a platform that is built fully digital from the ground up rather than being, uh, you know, a digital add-on to an optical microscope.

Uh, one of the things that we're also very excited about, espec- especially for our customers, uh, is the upgradeability of this platform, which is something that Heidelberg has always made part of our technology.
