This is one of those times where the stopped clock is right twice a day.

See, out in Maryland, Cynthia Morgan, who has driven for Harford County Public Schools for 11 years, was fired after stopping on Heaps School Road to let the only child on the bus rescue a kitten.

We need to be clear.

Heaps School Road is not a major thoroughfare.

There's no question that it may have been a mistake.

Morgan, the school bus driver, worked for an independent transportation contractor rather than directly for Harford County Public Schools.

But the school system is responsible for certifying the drivers who transport its students.

She got fired for it.

Well, according to the Hartford County Public Schools in Maryland, there were multiple incidents, concerns, and inappropriate interactions with students is why they fired her.

Which everyone says is them making that up now.

Yeah, I mean, do they have any documentation or paperwork of that, of any other inappropriateness? Well, let me just play the story.

She said the fact that, uh, she was let go because of an act of kindness does really weigh on him, and that is unforgivable and cruel.

Uh, Morgan, who is 67, who has driven buses for, uh, Harford County Public Schools for 11 years, uh, said she was crushed by the decision.

Uh, some parents believe the decision to remove Morgan from the job was too harsh, and so far, a petition to get the bus driver back on the job has gotten nearly 800 signatures.

This was as of last Friday.

Yeah, I didn't dive into the story, though, so here we go.

So Cynthia Morgan, she's 67 years old, worked as a school bus driver in the Harford County Public Schools di- district for 11 years.

She was recently removed from her route after she let a North Harford Elementary School student get off the bus to pick up an injured kitten.

Morgan says being fired devastated her.
