And, and it's like with, with chaos, and it relates to Charles Manson, the same, same guy, Jolly West, like you said, was the same handler as, as Jack Ruby and as Manson.

Like, they were both ran by the same guy, the Haight Ashbury clinic.

Hey, the two things I wanted to talk about are an organization that I'm really proud to have volunteered w- for, which is the, um, Haight Ashbury Free Clinic.

Yeah.

Yes.

And most especially, the w- Rock Medicine.

So Haight Ashbury pioneered kind of the concept that, uh, healthcare is a right and not a privilege, and I'm really proud that we support that.

And then Rock Medicine was started in '72 by Bill Graham asking Haight Ashbury Free Clinic, "Hey, you know, we need some help at, at these big shows.

Can you guys set up hospitals with doctors and nurses and stuff?" And for 40 years they've been doing exactly that, helping people that maybe indulged just a little too much at an event.

You know, uh, your, your friend Andy Weil has a famous story about, uh, working in psychiatric wards when people o- on LSD would come in who were having psychiatric breaks.

He worked at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic, yeah.

Exactly, and he discovered the best way to get someone out of a psychiatric break on LSD was to come in and say, "Hey, I know you're having a hard time, but someone else just came in who's having a much worse time than you."

Hmm.

My, I, I think the, the question is exactly how was he involved? Was he taught in order to be able to be a teacher? Uh, because if you read a lot of the accounts of people like, uh, Jolly West or whoever, these people also would not take the drugs when they were studying other people, right? That's a very, uh, well-known aspect of the whole Manson case, is that he would give drugs to his followers, but he himself would not take them.

So my, my guess, total speculation, nothing to back it up, my guess is that he had some sort of a run-in, either directly or indirectly, with Jolly West, largely because Jolly West had the, uh, the flop house or the kick-it pad right around the corner from the, uh, Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic, where Manson went a lot, brought the girls there a lot.

Um, so he's in proximity of being by Jolly West.

It's not like [chuckles] he's that close to Jolly and then meets up with, like, some other random MKUltra doctor.

Y- you know, and I, you know, there...

I know there are listeners to this show, especially in the San Francisco area, some of whom are doctors who ran the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic.

They, they know what drug use has done to people and how it blows the circuits of the mind, probably for life.

That's what I'm trying to get across here.
