That was the big thing.

And at the end of the day, Greencore was just a big company with a whole lot of investors and they just wanted their profits at the end of the day.

So it probably wasn't going to last.

I was disappointed at the time the sugar company was privatised in 1991, came Greencore in 1991.

I was told clearly by the workforce that number one, the redundancy terms weren't to be moved.

We had redundancy terms was fairly good at the time and the pension was fairly good at the time.

If you want to reduce numbers in the plant through new technology, fine.

But when it comes to closure, I feel myself that it should be in different terms.

Yeah.

I got headhunted to a competing business called Greencore for the same industry and moved from London to Sheffield.

Spent about 12 to 18 months with them doing a similar role through a promotion.

Then I got headhunted to go and join a company called Arla Foods, who do Lurpac and dairy products back in London.
