nowadays everybody has a nirvana t-shirt back then it was the doors and so the doors and hendrix and zeppelin and eventually that led to the grateful dead and the dead were still touring then and i went to a show in high school in landover maryland which is a little bit outside of dc and uh I was just super enamored with everything that was going on, the parking lot beforehand, the show itself, the crowd, everything.

It was just so foreign to what I was seeing happening in the world, which really wasn't much.
