Gould Academy

six nights, seven days.

We have one at Gould Academy in Maine.

We also do elite team clinics.

So I'll go to sports teams and we'll do one day of elite team.

I don't know.

I think I got the award for like Camper of the Year or something and, and, and the, the, the headmaster of that camp said: "This camp is good, but chances are if Dan goes back to that same environment that he came from, he's gonna revert back to his old behavior, so he probably would do well to go to a boarding school." So I ended up at, at a small, really, really small school in, in central Maine called Gould Academy, and I repeated my junior year of high school and more out of, uh, the need to just mature as a human being than, you know, to have the number of credits necessary to graduate.

And it really did set the stage for my understanding of how to take responsibility for myself, you know, academically and personally, and set me on just a really nice trajectory towards Whatever came, came later.

Um, graduated from Gould and went to a small school in Upstate New York.

Diaz pulled away during the second mile and finished in 16.11, the best time for a Maine freshman since 2006.

In the girls' freshman-sophomore race, Elsie Mann and Phoebe Alcott led early, but it was Grace Jones of Gould Academy that moved up throughout the race and ran away with the win.

Maddie Gilbert of Freeport also closed well and finished second.

In the boys' junior-senior race, Atticus Merriam led early and drew the margin throughout the race, stopping the clock at 15.45, the only sub-16 effort of the day and the fastest 5K time so far this year.
