BlythyGUEST
51:43
A normal cult, a DCC cultist.
BlythyGUEST
51:45
But one of the things I like about Goodman Games is they produce like modules that you can run in a couple of sessions.
BlythyGUEST
51:51
So I'm going to be running some DCC for you and Eddie next time, aren't I? And there's a whole load of adventures that I can run for you and Eddie.
BlythyGUEST
52:00
Maybe a couple of sessions.
Louis-Joseph BenoitGUEST
75:45
So Dave for Dungeon Crawl Classics.
Louis-Joseph BenoitGUEST
75:48
And we get the retailer box from Goodman Games with partners.
Louis-Joseph BenoitGUEST
75:52
And we organize an event at La Shoppe Goblin, which is like a restaurant, bar, medieval.
Louis-Joseph BenoitGUEST
75:59
And it started really small, but it's getting bigger each year.
Brad KerrHOST
12:33
Pretty, pretty cool.
Yochai GalHOST
12:33
And, and you know what's amazing about Goodman Games is that that whole thing is $32.
Yochai GalHOST
12:39
[laughs]
Brad KerrHOST
12:40
Those guys.
Red RoosterHOST
52:55
bx whatever or do you just take 5e strip some of the stuff out to make it suit the system more so you keep the the core of 5e but make it uh pull it back a little bit to make it more gritty and and suiting suitable for the game of thrones world right so yeah i think that that could be a good fit there um But yeah, and so my last idea here, what could also be kind of cool is a crossover with another TT RPG.
Red RoosterHOST
53:26
I didn't fully think this through, but I was thinking, like, what if, like, Dungeon Crawl Classics and DD, Goodman Games teaming up with Wizards of the Coast and taking 5e and DCC and smashing them together? And doing some kind of crazy mashup where they each do their own iteration of this crazy mashup.
Red RoosterHOST
53:44
Like DCC in a 5E world and vice versa.
Red RoosterHOST
53:47
I already know that DCC has their own specific 5E line.
RossHOST
42:27
haven't gotten into converting the Lost City, but I have thumbed through it and I've never read it through.
Price RowlandGUEST
42:31
I would read the Goodman Games versions of it.
Price RowlandGUEST
42:34
I'm a big fan of Goodman Games.
Price RowlandGUEST
42:36
Their conversions are really accessible.
Price RowlandGUEST
42:39
And they're usually written for 5th edition, but I find they're super system generic.
Price RowlandGUEST
43:28
And then I haven't done Sunless Citadel, but I guess the main thing that my takeaway from Torchbearer is, is that the priorities of the game are going to steer how the adventure plays out.
Price RowlandGUEST
43:40
And you need to understand that before you run an adventure, because your prep is going to be different.
Price RowlandGUEST
43:47
Like in the case of the Lost City, they actually never went into the big... like the big pyramid, they just played around in the underground city stuff, which is basically like an addition that probably mostly was fleshed out by Goodman games.
