Gold Apollo

Surprisingly, pagers are still being manufactured today.

Hezbollah chose a model called the AR-924, which is branded by a Taiwanese company, Gold Apollo.

These are chunky, no-frills devices.

There's no camera, GPS, or microphone, and no internet connection.

On paper, it looked like just another European consultancy business.

In reality, it existed for one purpose, to manufacture pagers packed with explosives and deliver them to Hezbollah.

BAC Consulting secured a licensing agreement with Gold Apollo in Taiwan, giving it the right to produce and sell devices under the Gold Apollo brand.

The product carried the brand name, but the actual Gold Apollo factory never made the pagers in question.
