I have been shamed by GoDaddy before.

When they're like, do you still want these domain names? And I look at them, I'm like, what was I thinking? No, I do not.

Let's cancel those.

So you're going to probably want to have somebody who's going to deploy the website with the URL because you're You can have AI do it for you, by the way, if you wanted to.

You just have to give it the credentials to log in to, say, your GoDaddy account and where you're going to host it.

But I'll tell you the easy button.

And again, this I'm sort of coming at this, by the way, through the lens of a relatively new.

developing artists and i hope that's the lens you want me to come through it with i could we could do 10 steps on any stage in a career but i think at this point you know for a new newer artist just making sure your whole digital footprint is claimed and i mean including like your domain it is fascinating how many established artists i've met with that have have um You know, I'll look up on GoDaddy and like their name is available and they've not even bought it.

Not to say websites would be all in all of everything, but you should at least have it.

So starting to claim all of this and just getting some continuity across your digital footprint.

Because obviously, I haven't made a website before and then started working on this two years ago.

Actually, that is a lie because I did help my husband make his website for his basketball program, so I did.

But I will be honest and say that our website development is a little more intricate than what I did with my husband's because I used a program GoDaddy.

It was great, but we're using more.

I strangely learned that from my youngest son has an IEP and every year we go through this goal setting thing with him.

And, you know, it's wild to look back year after year and you think, oh my God, like It's been slow, but it felt slow, but he's come so far and he's done all these things and, you know, we celebrate and we high five and we, you know, and, and artists need to do that.

I mean, it's, it's really amazing how many don't.

So I went to entertainment category and the most searched word was red carpets.

So I go on to GoDaddy and I pay $4,400 and I buy redcarpets.com. And I call my best friend and I go, Bill, we have to start a company called redcarpets.com. And he's like, what are we going to sell? And I go, I don't know, photos, videos.

And we go through this whole exercise and then we realize, oh, we should actually sell red carpets.

And it's been around 15 years, Oman.

Um, so try to do that.

And then what I typically like to use, or the, the registrar that I, that I typically like to use is IONOS or GoDaddy as well.

They're, they're both pretty solid.

One piece of advice that I could give you guys as well here is try and purchase the domain for, like, four or five years if you can in, in one, 'cause, um, sometimes, like, you purchase the domain for, like, £6 or $10, but the renewal cost next year might be, like, 20, $30.

And...

Same thing, talking about domain names, right? So again, a domain name, there's sort of these registries like GoDaddy and so forth where you can go and you can pay just a few bucks and register a name.

But it doesn't give you any trademark rights at all, right? And there is a process if you get a registered trademark, there's sort of a private law process and then you could take it to court if you had to where you can kick people off Your domain name, if you have a registered trademark.

So that's something that's valuable for folks to know.
