Guys, I'm sorry to do this to you again, but this has been an amazing week, not only in my life, but in the Global Wrestling Federation.

And because of the situation last week, I got in touch with the offices of the Global Wrestling Federation in Barcelona, Spain.

There was a federation that was in existence from 1991 to 1994.

It was this week in 1994 that the Global Wrestling Federation, the GWF, closed its doors.

And this fed... was really not bad.

I mean, if you go back and you watch it, and I'm sure a lot of people who were wrestling fans in the early 90s will remember tuning in to ESPN and watching this federation that we never heard of before, and we're seeing a very young Cactus Jack, a very young JBL, very young Raven, very young Harlem Heat, X-Pac, There was a lot of wrestlers in this Fed very early in their careers.

Unfortunately, this week in 94, it did close its doors.

And early on, they were sued by the WWF, and WWF lost.

Because the deal was, since WWF stood for the World Wrestling Federation, and this was called the Global Wrestling Federation, Vince McMahon thought that world and global meant the same thing.

And it was a ripoff.

Do you guys remember who Marcus Bagwell was prior to debuting in WCW? Anybody? And some stranger for GFW.

It was actually, was it Global Wrestling Federation? That is correct.

So he was a handsome stranger.

So yes, so here he is.

Well, I hear a lot of guys, you know, saying, you know, as far as paying your dues and stuff like that and whatnot.

For myself, you know, I started out in a small territory and then I came up through Dallas in the Global Wrestling Federation and I wrestled there for two years and I wrestled a lot of veterans, you know, and those guys kind of prepared me in a sense for WCW and kind of prepared me the eight years I've been in WCW kind of prepared me for this moment right now as being a heavyweight champ as far as working, you know, So hard and so rigorous from the beginning, from day one to get where I am now and finally make it.

And by doing it all on just my hard work and my own merits and the fans coming out and supporting me each and every night, it means so much more because I've seen guys, you know, get it very, very quickly.

And it destroys them.
