We're going to hear from the new CEO of Schneider here shortly, but there are other companies that are involved in transportation here in Green Bay, KBX Logistics, which is part of the Koch Industries.

For those at Hull Freight, probably are more familiar with Georgia Pacific as part of the Koch Industry.

Chicken, for those that are in Chattanooga, we know the chicken plant really well.

But also, you've got Breakthrough Fuel here.

So what are you seeing?

Yeah, it's been an interesting last six months.

For those that are familiar, KBX is the third-party logistics organization that supports Koch for example, Georgia Pacific, where we were born from, and their transportation logistics needs.

So it's been an interesting six months.

So that, that was what was really behind it, was how can we really extend the brand, uh, and the awareness for that, that program and leveraging that relationship with the Packers was, was, uh, w- we felt was the right thing to do.

Ben, I think interesting, I didn't realize this, I think you actually told me, Julie, is that Paper Transport's name comes from Georgia-Pacific, which was sort of the first customer that you guys were hauling for.

Um, and now, uh, I mean, obviously Green Bay is a big, is a big paper town, uh, big operations for Coke.

Tell us a little bit about the history of the company.

Um, um, so relatively known as PTI.

But if you're in Wisconsin and you're a trucking company, odds are very high that you're hauling paper.

And so our, our roots were kind of, uh, started as a private fleet, um, for, uh, back then it was Fort Howard, um, which then, um, became Fort James, then, uh, Georgia-Pacific, and now Coke, uh, that we work with.

But really our roots were, were with that Green Bay shipper.

Was he in sales when he was making 100 grand? What was he doing?

He was a supervisor for, um, like Georgia-Pacific.

What's Georgia-Pacific?

Um, it's-

Is that trucking?

And the timber industry is really big here.

Georgia Pacific's headquarters just a few miles from where I'm standing right now.

And the timber industry, they make products ranging all the way from toilet paper to this mass timber, and they've got a big lobby, right? A lot of money go out there, but they make these claims that just because you're using their product, number one, it's more environmentally friendly, and it's sequestering carbon.

And when they say sequestering carbon, what they're trying to say is when I have wood, such as this panel you see behind me, and it sits in a building, that carbon is not going up in the atmosphere.

As for the Johnson's Mill, after an internal purge of all employees connected with the riot, it carried on as before.

In 1951, it was sold to Georgia Pacific.

The story of the treatment of the Japanese workers in Toledo remains as a lingering and embarrassing memory, and a vivid reminder of how much has changed in Oregon since the 1920s.

And also, as an uncomfortable reminder of a few things that have not.

And a lot of that, right, is taking place in tree plantations, whether that's in the Deep South in Georgia or Maine or here in the Pacific Northwest.

It's much more expensive to go log in remote, you know, public lands than it is on a Weyerhaeuser or Georgia-Pacific plantation.

For what it's worth, the roadless rule already has exceptions, and allows for fuel removal, and cutting small diameter timber, and some other emergency road builds as well.

Nor has the Trump administration set aside funding for fire suppression, fuel removal, or even building these new roads.

And so it was a sweetheart deal.

But who thinks they don't benefit from that? National Association of Furniture Manufacturers, SEERS, National Association of Manufacturers, National Federation of Independent Business, General Mills, Georgia Pacific, American Retail Federation, American Chemical Manufacturers Association, National Association of Hardware Dealers.

Everybody who ships something or receives something thinks they're being gouged.

We ended up with about 120 groups that supported this, and we brought pressure from the outside, not from members of Congress, pressure from the outside onto the Congress and brought it from the liberal and conservative side.

So, um, and I think that's another thing that people don't, don't know about Koch.

But we wanna, we wanna create, we wanna have enough optionality and liquidity to where when the next Georgia-Pacific, the next Molex comes around, we have the dry powder-
