What are your memories of that trip? Well, it was

hard, Oliver, because we were based at Grundy, because Grundy were part of Fremantle, who I then was making the build, basically.

And so I used to have to, the first, I was there for a month.

And the first week, I used to have to go to Grundy.

Someone just texted me and said, watching, you're great or something.

Heartbreak High had just been purchased by, or the rights would have been purchased by Fremantle.

Right.

And we weren't sure whether it was going to make a revisiting Heartbreak High and just a documentary style thing or whatever.

Like, and it was such a, there was such a journey to it too.

Um, uh, as far as I knew what was happening when I was talking to you, I, you know, that we bought the rights and then it was going to be a series.

Were they going to bring old cast members back? Were they not? And because I had, luckily I had inside word because we were working at Fremantle, I could ask the questions like what's going on, who's in it.

And then I, yeah.

Losing a parent is bad enough, but losing a parent how I did and actually seeing it happen, that's just something that I battle with a lot more than people know or think.

And that would kind of mirror my feelings kind of from afar I mean not that from afar because I'm doing comedy myself but in terms of where are your opportunities now as a comedian and and I'm kind of quite fortunate that in 2015 I got I used to work in TV as I said but I got my first job in digital in 2015 running um digital channels and YouTube channels for Fremantle Media and I've worked kind of on and off in social media ever since then and I know you know, from afar, but also from seeing comedians where the power is in social media now and in particularly in your short form social content on your Instagram reels or your TikTok or your YouTube shorts.

So I'm going to be spending the time when I feel really ready to, you know, start performing my long form show.

I'll probably mainly be doing it as opportunities to cut it up so that I feel like really confident that they're going to be good clips that do well for short form social media.

He has been selected, uh, for this weekend's clash by Head Coach Justin Longmuir and co.

And he sat down with the Fremantle Media staff recently to have a bit of a chat, uh, about his debut.
