You can also use, uh, like ForeFlight.

You can use your ground track on ForeFlight, uh, with your breadcrumbs, right? And see on your track log how the little pigtail spirals move and in which direction.

And if you draw a line through those pigtail spirals, that gives you the vector of the wind, okay? The direction of the wind.

But even without that, just look at where you traveled relative to the place you started on the ground or over the ground, and that will tell you exactly which direction the wind is blowing.

So we land real short, flip around 180, and get off and go.

Well, all of a sudden I look on ForeFlight, and the little flight plan, it has a big exclamation point on it.

I'm like, "Uh-oh."

And I, I'll, I will say to the applicant, "Okay, what's our density altitude today?" And usually get one of two things.

Either they just go to ForeFlight and they look it up and they say it's, uh, 1,857, and I'm, I'm fine with that.

Um, but, but the other side of it is they pull out a calculator and they start, uh, doing the amplitude of the moon divided by the square root of the date of your mother's birthday div, you know, divided by pi times the, uh, the, the, the w- whatever.

Uh, they, they just use complicated formulas.
