Fodera

So I tried a lot of instruments and I was thinking either five or six.

But I found a Fodera bass and I liked it so much that I think I would have bought the same bass even if it would have been a five string.

So I really enjoyed the sound.

And honestly, it took me a year to save up for even getting the bass.

One of my biggest mentors is Victor Wooten.

I feel like before that already I thought that way but the philosophy of how things are being taught at Berklee where I went to study also after I studied in Austria I feel the philosophy of the bass and the concept of the bass being part of the rhythm section is super important and I think a lot of times people who learn bass only from Instagram or from like shred videos they don't actually know what a bass is supposed to do.

Because for me, I was just actually doing an interview with Fodera, which is the company that makes my basses.

And I was just talking about the fact that, yeah, I actually had this one jam session when I was 16 with a drummer who is really good.

That's interesting.

And I, I had the Fender Bass back then, but, uh, very shortly, Fodera, who are holy people, they made me my first six-string.

Mm.

And I would be playing that on the street.
