Victor NunoHOST
56:02
WHL winning Everett Silver Tips team that almost won the Memorial Cup that was at least in the final there.
Victor NunoHOST
56:07
So pretty awesome season with 87 points in 62 games and another 24 points in 18 playoff games.
Victor NunoHOST
56:13
He was definitely one of their go-to guys there for Everett.
Brian FisherGUEST
31:52
He had a great year last year, uh, coming off of that Achilles injury.
Brian FisherGUEST
31:55
He started off slow, ended up being a huge impactor with the Everett Silvertips, and he's looked really noticeable in the prospects tournament, and Todd McLellan has proven that he is more than willing to let a young guy win a roster spot if the young guy wins it.
Brian FisherGUEST
32:10
I'm looking at Emmet Finney, seventh-round pick from 2023.
Brian FisherGUEST
32:13
Played all 82 games, maybe 81 games, with the Detroit Red Wings last year.
Zaiem BegHOST
28:06
Well, also there is now a very plausible scenario where the team gets the first overall pick, which is that they continue to be a bottom team, except they are worse than they were last year, and then they end up with much better lottery odds, and then they end up drafting Landon DuPont or whoever.
Zaiem BegHOST
28:27
But the presumptive number one overall pick right now is Landon DuPont, the Silver Tips defenseman.
Zaiem BegHOST
28:37
I think there's a couple of paths, right? If they're good, if they're good and they make the playoffs, that's fun.
Zaiem BegHOST
28:46
That's great.
Jason HagholmGUEST
5:41
You got to go Jack Pridham, a guy we were like, oh, when's he going to score? He had, what, five goals in four games? Showcased why he was the top goal scorer for Kitchener, finished second in points and goals in the OHL last year.
Jason HagholmGUEST
5:54
He came alive when Kitchener needed him to come alive, and really in that third period where he sealed the deal on that five-on-three power play to begin the third period against Everton in the Memorial Cup final.
Jason HagholmGUEST
6:06
I mean, when he put that puck in the back of the net, you're like, okay, this team's going to they got to close out this period because, you know, it's junior hockey, anything can happen, but they're just, you know, 18 minutes away from being a Memorial cup champions.
Jason HagholmGUEST
6:18
Yeah.
Regan BartelGUEST
31:31
Kitchener, again, was the Memorial Cup champion.
Regan BartelGUEST
31:34
At the end of the day, I wanted the Everett Silver Tips to win it all.
Regan BartelGUEST
31:37
It didn't happen.
Regan BartelGUEST
31:38
But again, a real good tournament.
DerekHOST
1:36
Yeah, this last week, again, a bunch of school.
DerekHOST
1:38
But then on Friday, went over to Whidbey Island, took the ferry, so drove north of here, north from Seattle, about 45 minutes up by Everett, where the stinky Everett Silvertips play.
DerekHOST
1:54
I think Miettinen was on that team, but still Thunderbirds till the day I die.
DerekHOST
1:58
And take the ferry, takes about...
Mike BoyleGUEST
16:10
Mm-hmm.
Elliot GunnHOST
16:10
I think Everett lost a ton of guys, but they have a such a great ru- great, um, owner and f- uh, general manager.
Elliot GunnHOST
16:17
They, they know how to fix a team really quick.
Elliot GunnHOST
16:19
So I wouldn't be shocked to see Everett still making some noise.
Elliot GunnHOST
16:23
I still think Tri-City, Wenatchee are gonna be right around the same as they have been.
Elliot GunnHOST
16:27
Uh, Portland, uh, you know, they're kind of a wild card too, but I think-
Mike BoyleGUEST
16:57
I think they're gonna be better than what they showed.
Mike BoyleGUEST
16:59
Um, Tri-City, Wenatchee, um, you know, they're g- as you said, I think they're gonna be a- about what we think they're going to be.
Travis HarringtonGUEST
14:05
And I had an awesome rookie year and ended up playing half of the regular season games.
Travis HarringtonGUEST
14:12
The other, my goalie partner was a man named Mike Fraser, who's now the general manager for the Everett Silvertips.
Travis HarringtonGUEST
14:22
Awesome.
Travis HarringtonGUEST
14:22
And Fraser was a league all-star goalie, division one goalie after that.
Zaiem BegHOST
10:29
He's a big, big player.
Zaiem BegHOST
10:32
And he led the Everett Silver Tips to the Memorial Cup final.
Zaiem BegHOST
10:41
They ended up losing in the finals, but he was the tournament MVP there.
Zaiem BegHOST
10:46

Tyson ColeHOST
40:00
Uh, Oscar Fiskar Mul- Mulgaard.
Tyson ColeHOST
40:04
Uh, Julius Maatenen, who just played for the, uh, Everett Silvertips.
Tyson ColeHOST
40:08
Jani Niemann, who I don't know how this guy is still a part of the rookie camp.
Tyson ColeHOST
40:14
I feel like he scores on the Canucks like all the time, so don't know how he's still involved here.
