What is it and what kind of alerts do people get and how do they actually sign up for it?

Yeah, so CO Alerts is the Everbridge application.

We work with the county, but it's the city's alerting system.

So it's totally optional.

But you can choose what you want.

You also can choose how you'll be alerted.

So you can get text messages, you can get emails, or you can download the Everbridge app and it'll send the push notification right to your cell phone.

Um, so whatever you prefer, um, and then through that, you can also choose other alerts.

They would get together and craft additional messaging.

And in the city of Glendale, we use Everbridge as an emergency notification.

So if citizens have signed up for Everbridge... they'll get additional notification and we can put as much information in there as we want.

So we can have evacuation center, evacuation routes, and give a lot of details on the incident that we can't put out on those other platforms.
