and then that's just a really easy trick because if you have too much low end in your verbs that's what's going to start kind of muddying out the vocal and it's instead of adding kind of more depth it's kind of just maybe going to add in a little bit of mud in there and again with the top end that's where if you're adding too much top end in the verbs especially like I used to really like the SP 2016 from Eventide there's a really good vocal preset I was using but sometimes what I was finding and especially with a lot of the 80s stuff there's a few George Michael tracks and a few Wham tracks where I'm like, Jesus Christ, I can hear, like I can almost tell you exactly which lexicon it was, you know, or what percaste preset it was because they've got so much top end that it's like, fuck, I'm hearing the reverb more than I'm hearing the delay.
