Epitaph Records

Epitaph Records

Epitaph Records is an independent music label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights spawned what became known as the 90s punk explosion. Along the way Epitaph proudly launched its sister label ANTI-, representing unique and distinguished acts. From the beginning Epitaph’s mission has been to serve the musicians on its diverse and creative roster - an artist-first model, radical twenty years ago, and much imitated today.www.epitaph.com

and uh you know nickelodeon and empire records and uh weezer blue and just like at first i i had a i had a an insomniac green day easter egg in there and we ended up getting rid of it uh there was a tagline at the end of the first chorus that said uh i just want to blast insomniac in my room but we ended up cutting the first half of the or the first chorus we cut in half to make because otherwise the song was like four minutes long um But yeah, no, I appreciate it.
Kyle DevlinGUEST

The other thing that I wanted to include in that song is that it's okay to still actually give a shit about the stuff you grew up loving.

So now we've got half of the punk rock supergroup fake names on this podcast talking about how they found music, how they found guitar, how they've adapted the DIY punk rock ethos to being a middle-aged human and parent and so much more.
Jason VerlindeHOST
2:16
It's this incredible conversation and the timing couldn't be better because Fake Names has a brand new third studio record on Epitaph Records.
Jason VerlindeHOST

John AxfordGUEST

John AxfordGUEST
