Was it long common? I can't remember the health system that you worked for.

No, I worked for, my entry into medical was really with a company called HealthSouth.

And we were one of the largest providers of outpatient rehab and also ambulatory surgery centers when that really was getting going in the late 90s.

And that was my intro into healthcare before I moved into medical device.

So how did you end up making that transition into medical device ultimately?

So it was interesting at the time, this is late 90s, early 2000.

We were living in Birmingham, Alabama, and HealthSouth was going through some challenges with the federal government regarding Medicaid fraud.

So I was concerned about the salvation of the company.

What I would probably have in the first fund, or at least would never have screened out, would be Enron.

WorldCom, HealthSouth, Tyco, and a bunch of mortgage-backed securities.

And I'd probably still be holding a lot of fossil fuel stocks, which are now tanking.

On the other hand, this other fund that was focused on ensuring that there was value for all stakeholders and how I operate would have companies like a Unilever, where Paul Polman made sustainability and circularity a key of his management style at Unilever and far exceeded the returns of his competitors.

I never came home.

I just went from the Embassy Suites to the HealthSouth, and I went to lunch, I, with the guys, the, the crew, and me and Kevin Wolk was there.

Kevin's, uh, like so good.

He's been there for so many of my ser- at my, so many of my re- my, uh, rehabs.

You know, Triple H did it, did his first.

Right.

So I remember going down with Disco and getting in the ring with him down at HealthSouth.

They put a ring up down there.

So, Jeff Jarrett talks his dad to Jerry, and they go to a guy named Bob Ryder.

who is somebody from, they know down in, owned a company called Health South, down in Birmingham, Alabama.

And basically, like, hey, give me some money.
