and and just going straight ahead just shred it out and uh yeah it came it plays great um took a little while to get it set up properly but i thought i would end up having to like oh this this floyd is probably worn out it's 41 years old it needs replacing no works great it looks beat up but it it works absolutely perfect stays in tune once it's set up i am loving this guitar it was $399 that's

that's amazing you can get there are like slightly more premium ones the rs uh 450 which uh which of which was plateless and it you could get it in that gorgeous like i that sort of ivory white finish where it's that you you see them a lot dear listener those old 80s ibanez is where that finish is worn to a soft yellow with that like tarnished brass hardware and like a really dark rosewood or ebony board matching headstock.

But it's an 80.

It's been the pickups have been retrofitted.

They're EMGs.

But you should try to match the sound of what it is you're trying to achieve with to the source as close as possible.

So for example, if you only have a guitar with EMG humbuckers and you want something that should be recorded as single coil, a tele or a strat kind of sound, if you only have humbuckers, you can't get that single coil sound.

Now, you might be able to get something really cool and limitations can also be a superpower.

So don't feel like just because you don't have it, you can't get something amazing.

I actually want to put them in my Les Pauls, too.

And I got the David Gilmour EMG active pickups for one of my Strats, and I just love these active pickups.
