EMERGENCY

The Green Parrots was written by a surgeon name, um, Gino Strada.

He was the founder of an organization named Emergency.

Uh, this organization operate as an NGO that operates very similar to Doctors Without Borders, uh, so going in, in, in remote areas, helping people for after, uh, after military events, uh, war, war zone, and really providing help.

And he was describing basically his years in Afghanistan after the Russian left Afghan- Afghanistan and left behind these green parrots that were landmines that the Russian left behind and resemble toys in order that the landmines, uh, could capture the attention of young kids, and they could activate and explode and basically destroy limbs, arms of the next generation of the Afghans.

Yeah, I'm definitely buying that, that book, and we'll put a link in the show notes also to, to Amazon to that book.

Wow.

And so and then ultimately you actually did some service work, humanitarian work for Emergency.

Tell us about that.
