Welcome, Earth Rangers, to Bunch Grass Hills Conservation Area.

That's right, we're still in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

And I wish you could see these rolling hills, pine trees, and still ponds.

You know, native grasslands in Canada.

So I may even have a leg up today.

Ooh, what is this strange feeling coming over me, Earth Rangers? I think I actually feel confident.

[laughs] Am I even pronouncing that correctly? Go easy on me.

Back on a plane, to be exact.

You know when you feel both excited and nervous at the same time? Yeah.

Or is that just the air pressure? We're dipping below the clouds now.

I can see the mountains on one side, ocean on the other, and a big, shiny city sitting right in between.

And is that the Lions Gate Bridge I'm spotting? You guessed it, Earth Rangers.

Hello from Suriname, Earth Rangers.

We've officially made it to South America, and after our brief taste of city life in San Jose, we've wasted no time making up for it because this is the jungliest jungle I've seen all race.

We're deep in the Central Suriname Nature Reserve, surrounded by towering mahogany trees, endless green canopy, and dense tropical growth.

Over 90% of Suriname is covered in untouched rainforest.

Bringing the race here was a no-brainer because Suriname is one of the only carbon-negative countries in the world, with forests that absorb far more carbon dioxide than the entire nation produces.

So yeah, Earth Rangers, this jungle isn't just a pretty face.

It's actively helping to save the planet.
