This is episode 511, and today I'm joined by award-winning filmmaker and comic writer Greg Pak.

now prior to breaking into comics greg pock had a couple of award-winning short films under his belt like robot stories his first official comic work would come in 2004 in the form of a four-issue warlock series alongside artist charlie adler and since then he's gone on to write over 600 plus comic books that's a whole lot of word bubbles that's a whole lot of text including marvel's blockbuster stories planet hulk and world war hulk he's also written mech cadet u for boom studios which later became an animated tv series for netflix and he did a record setting 50 plus issue run on marvel's star wars darth vader series Fast forward to today and Greg will be the new writer of Dynamite Entertainment's Thundercats line of comics starting Thundercats number one, which is hitting shops on Wednesday, October 7th.

Greg will be joined by artist David Cousins and colorist Igor Monti for a fresh new chapter in the Thundercats history books.

So we've got plenty to talk about between the new Thundercat book, all the stuff he's written at Marvel and in other places.

for that so yeah marvel does pretty good when it's focusing on the adult uh content stuff or i should say you know 18 plus uh stuff but when it comes to the kids stuff i don't know why they can't market that stuff correctly and they just say pass and they just hand it off to everyone else because it's weird aladdin tailspin um A lot of the villainous game characters, they're all over at Dynamite Entertainment.

They're doing a whole thing.

They've got, what's the Lilo and Stitch? They've got a whole series of that over at Dynamite.

But if this is the case, then I'll just accept it and enjoy the time I have and make the most of it.

yeah well good luck to him and um makes me want to go i never did watch that tv adaptation of the evil dead ash and the evil dead or whatever it was called yeah you should yeah

dynamite entertainment has uh archie versus the evil dead uh comic of course they do

So in 2015 they're going to bring them back for a special crossover.

Conan's at Dark Horse, and Red Sonja's at Dynamite Comics, and Gail is writing Red Sonja, and she wants to have a co-writer for this Conan team-up.

She knows I'm a big fan of the character, it's come up in conversation, we're friends, and she asked if I would come on board.

And I think, oh, this is my only chance to be a bard for the Barbarian.

Fresh off the release of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Rosh Frankenstein, and Lego's very first X-Files set comes the news that Dynamite Entertainment will publish a new X-Files comic starting this winter.

What's more, the new series will feature a familiar face to X-Files readers.

Dynamite's The X-Files series is written by Joe Harris, who previously penned The X-Files Season 10 and Season 11 for IDW Publishing.
