Dropout

I haven't made it through season three completely yet.

But you watch Dropout, and a couple of the Dropout people will guest star on it.

It was part of Dropout.

it might be he explains how basically Harry Potter is just a rip off of Star Wars and the points he makes are very very on point so if I can find that and it won't get flagged I'll throw it in here if not you can go you can easily go search like Harry Potter Star Wars comedy bit and you'll see very on points So those are definitely some influences.

And maybe even the original Twilight book, because that came out in 2005.

And so if you have any issues with the film, you can take them up with Peck.

I just wanted to be able to watch something on Dropout because that's where this thing is.

Not specifically.

It's not the only place you can watch it.

But it's something that I got to – I was like, I get to do prep by watching Dropout.

And that – I never get to do.

So that was fun.

Sam Reich got the rights to this movie for streaming on Dropout, and I love that.

Yeah, when you're using gold for XP, it's just like, oh, we can sell these and level up.

yeah um which that just made me think of uh you know i i had read the elusive shift that book about gaming where it talks about early back in the very beginning days of of role-playing tater pigs that it seemed very clear that they were split into two camps story people and crunch people right the book didn't call it that obviously it was like the war gamer people and the more story leaning people and it sounds like your table was more story leaning And it just made me think of Smarty Pants, a show on Dropout where Zach Reno was talking about LARP.

They do like funny TED Talks on this show.

And he was giving me a TED Talk about LARP.

There's this thing that Sakoyama says in the second ever episode of Game Changer that I've decided is the official place to begin with Dropout.

It's not the place to begin with college humor, but it is the place to begin with Dropout.

It's the second episode of Game Changer, and it is called Make Some Noise.

We talked about this podcast on at least this episode on at least three of our own show.

But to your point, that is a very different way of telling that story.

It is.

And so much of how I saw this movie is shaped by, you know, my fan thing over Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder reading Bad Blood and then following the podcast was actually called The Dropout that followed the trial kind of in real time.
