DLNA

It allows computer, phone, or storage drive to send media directly to a smart TV, a game console, you know, Roku box, so on, without extra applications.

Sometimes, though, when you wanna stream a DLNA device or stream to a DL- DLNA device without a ton of overhead, and, you know, y- at some po- at something like you don't need a full-fed-fledged Plex or Jellyfin server.

In that case, there's MinDLNA.

It's a dead simple DNLA and UPnP-AV server, and these, these days a lot of distros package it under the name of ReadyMedia, but the config files and the service still go by MinDLNA.

S- ReadyMedia and MiniDL, uh, MinDLNA, same thing.

Now, I'm not gonna go into the install as the ma- major Linux distributions have directions.
