Detroit Catholic Central High School

I finally got the chance last Friday night, Grayson Singleton, to watch Gideon Gash.

How'd it look? I showed up to Catholic Central High School in Detroit.

First off, amazing high school.

You can tell there's a lot of money wrapped up in that program.

Who else we got?

Well, with the help of, uh, Notre Dame great and, uh, Detroit Catholic Central head coach Torin Jackson, um, helped us get Micah Shrewsberry from Notre Dame, so he's gonna open up.

You know, Micah spent a lot of time with, you know, Brad Stevens.

Um, we're super excited.

Might as well acknowledge, I know we've brought it up in the past, but I feel it would be irresponsible not to land the plane here.

Later tonight, I'm going to spend my evening, as the sun goes down, out at Catholic Central High School in Novi, Michigan, far west Detroit.

And I'm going to spend it out there watching Gideon Gash, four-star defensive back out of Detroit, Michigan, current Texas Tech commit, and a guy that Oklahoma has continued to pursue quietly but doggedly, devotedly.

And I also do expect, we got this question on the text line, I do expect that there will be OU staffers on hand for this game.

they have some motivation, I think, to come out this week and, and really play well, um, against the Davison team, who obviously, you know, wants to play a lot better than they did in giving up 56 points to Detroit Catholic Central.

Ogemaw Heights, they, they avenged their lone regular season loss from last year, uh, handling Traverse City St. Francis.

What makes the Falcons a threat this weekend and overall?

Yeah, and Orchard Lake-St. Mary's the defending D2 state champion in Michigan.

Detroit Catholic Central with a 56-14 win over Davidson.

D. LaSalle picked up a forfeit win over Windsor Sandwich.

Yes, that's their name.

He made the switch to go play high school at Detroit.

He played at Detroit Catholic Central.

When it came to my time to make that decision, He was a guy I always looked up to.

I still do now.

Upsets are going to happen.

Detroit Catholic Central right now is the number one ranked team in the state, and they're really good.

So, yeah, it's kind of a wait-and-see process right now about how these teams perform over the next couple weeks.

Yeah, it's Catholic Central or Cass Tech, right? Aren't those the two teams? Yeah,

those are the two teams.

Cass Tech came in number one, but you're right.

Detroit Catholic Central, obviously, is another really good team.

But Gideon Gash is going to Texas Tech.

He's done exactly that.

Last year in the state championship, struggled just a little bit against DCC.

This year, already committed, already has his feet underneath him.

Coaching staff knows him.

You know, I mean, pretty much if you're head coach Marvin rushing for Cass Tech, you're, you know, red zone, red zone, period, red zone, period.

Just like his practice.

I mean, this game has pretty much gone just as well as I'm sure summer workouts and seven on sevens have gone for Cass Tech all summer since last year's loss against Detroit Catholic Central in the state championship.

This has been a blast.
