Design Miami

Well, I think that my early career started after school.

I worked as a consultant for Design Miami during Art Basel in Miami and then Switzerland.

And I would see the design, how the design galleries would transform their spaces.

And in Miami, they were using the old buildings, historical buildings of the design district, which some of them are still there, but it's been so developed now.

Yeah, a lot of messages.

But it's true that each space we were choosing, we were realizing had its own identity that was pushing back.

So I think Amber was bringing in this experience from Design Miami that was like, oh, well, they're designing whole spaces.

And it just kind of made sense because you had to kind of push back against the pre-existing space that we were offering.

We've been really lucky to, you know, because of our backgrounds and relationships within the art and design community, to work with such wonderful, you know, and esteemed galleries and museums.

And that's also a cool trickle-down effect where people see something, you know, at R & Company or Design Miami and then...

they learn about it and so um yeah there have been a number of different you know kind of ways and models in which we've like marketed the product but you know we've done it in a very scrappy way as a startup and we do also have a really awesome um pr team that's you know so we've been really lucky to be in almost every yes respected design uh magazine out there um So, yeah, they they work hard on our behalf as well to get the word out.
