Deschutes Brewery

That's nice.

Well, I found a new offering from Deschutes Brewery just across the mountains here in Oregon.

It's a West Coast IPA called Symphonic Chronic.

I've had a couple of them, and they're really good.

And these rogue mosquitoes they say are unknown, but they certainly know a lot about the unknown mosquito.

Deschutes, or as you like to say, Deschutes.

Yeah, the

old Deschutes.

Brewery and Costco have ended their relationship.

You will no longer be able to buy...

They call it the Kirkland Signature Helly Style Lager and Kirkland Signature Vintage Ale.

I had no idea.

There's a few of them.

There used to be a series of beers called the Class of 88, and it was Deschutes, Great Lakes.

Was it Sierra Nevada? They used to do a collab because they all opened in the same year.

Now we're cooking.

I'm just drinking a Deschutes Fresh Haze IPA.

I had to look.

It's in the distinctive orange can.

Like I said, I almost grabbed a fresh squeezed.

And I think the biggest question I have coming out of this is, is this just the Constellation portfolio or are they basically going to take over Coors Distributing Company and fold that in? Because as you deftly pointed out, their beer book is lacking major suppliers.

I mean, their two biggest brands, I think, were Deschutes and Outlaw.

Right.

And to be clear, you were talking about the beer book of RBG Wine and Spirits of Colorado, which is the rightest subsidiary in the state.

Yeah.

I mean, they picked that up from RNDC, which really wasn't that much of a beer distributor.

So yeah, it's Outlaw and Deschutes, as you just said.

And I think, yeah, maybe this will look like that because with the loss of this big of a chunk of your business, like can CDC, of course, distributing company, really carry on? Or is this time for Molson Coors to say, you know what, we've done this for a while, but now it's time to sell, you know, this asset and move on.

And there were a bunch of like the, like Deschutes and Goose Island, and Harpoon might've been one of those, too.

Yeah.

The kinda big breweries that started there.

And, and while I would've loved to tip back a Racer 5 or One of, or a Russian River, you know, I, I have to travel down there to get one of those.

So I'm going w- a- across the mountains in Bend, Deschutes Brewery, one of the, one of the OG breweries, uh, up here in Oregon.

And I'm going with the Tropical Fresh IPA.

It's a, it's a really nice, I'm not a huge fan of the fruity IPAs, but this is, like, just the right amount of fruity.

It's IPA boat mail.

Deschutes.

Oh, Deschutes is the best portah.

Best always fresh hazy.

Yeah, they're really chopping this up.
