Those were three of the five cars that I called that we would be driving today.

And in fact, I got to work with a Mercedes-Benz BYD joint venture down in Shenzhen on a car brand that's just coming out here in Australia called Denza.

Denza.

Have you heard of Denza before? No, I haven't.

I think they're going for the more luxury brand, kind of like the Lexus of the Toyota.

Right.

The Denza is the Denza of the BYD.

Right.

They left out the tow package.

Sounds like you made your mind up, but can I ask you this? Obviously, you're getting it a dealer demo, so it's going to be a bit cheaper, but have you looked at something like the Denza, which is BYD's premium brand? Honestly, I know what sort of car person you are, that Nissan Patrol, that big four-wheel drive.

The Denza, when I see them on the road, I go, that's the thing that's going to get people away from Land Cruisers.

Yeah.

Hybrid.

I'd like to take it for a

test drive.

What's the price of the Denza? Denza's going to look like 80 grand.

All right, a quickie.

Denza pushed its Australian launch of the Z9 GT into next year.

Its first flash charging sites, once due in Q4 this year, are now planned for the second half of next year.

That affects a major selling point.

Denza quotes charging a 10 to 70 in five minutes and a full charge in nine minutes.

Those times need its flash charging equipment, which can provide at the charger 1,500 kilowatts.

Not saying the Denza Z9 GT can take that.

1,500 kilowatts.

Mine is going to be an ML63.

It is a Denza.

And I was asking about it because he said, I'm not actually that into cars.

I like bikes.

He's actually a very funny man.

Now, let's move on.

Denza has opened reservations for the new electric SUV called the N8.

It launches in November.

No price is announced yet, and it is a nice one from Denza.

Obviously, Denza is the premium brand of BYD, but the batteries are really big, either 105.8 or 130 kilowatt hours.

So over 1,000 kilometers of CLTC range on the N8 there.

Single motor versions are 370 kilowatts.

People weren't really, they didn't have the charging infrastructure, so they weren't ready to embrace EVs.

Then this year we have, A spinoff from BYD called Denza released the Denza Z, which is this really powerful sports car that's electric.

And it's just a really sexy sports car that actually has more power than some of the high-end Porsches.

And I think it marks a real moment for EVs that were kind of struggling and now maybe... people are seeing that they can actually be better than gas-powered cars.

Love the Tin Cannon.

I think it's a lot more valuable than it lets on to be, which I think is fun.

I love the Denza Z, the very sexy EV sports car.

I think there's a lot of value in just making, like, an EV that's not boring and even if no one's gonna buy it it's just cool and it's cool for people to see and it'll maybe do some races and do something flashy and I think that's fun um I love those kind of things I genuinely I did get to try out um I think it launches for pre-orders today and it launches next week uh in stores the the iPhone Duo the new folding iPhone um Um, but I got to try, we got to try that out as part of the vetting process and our reporting and that story and genuinely very cool.
